This exterior painting project in the Casas Adobes area of Tucson focused on restoring and protecting the home’s exposed wood patio ceiling, beams, fascia, and soffits. Our process began with extensive surface preparation. Every window, door, brick surface, and surrounding landscape was carefully masked to protect the property from overspray. The existing wood was cleaned, prepared, and inspected before all joints, seams, and gaps were professionally caulked to help prevent moisture intrusion, reduce air infiltration, and discourage insects and other critters from entering the structure.

Once the preparation was complete, the wood surfaces were primed using Sherwin-Williams PrepRite Premium and Sherwin-Williams ProBlock Water-Based Primer, creating a solid foundation that promotes exceptional adhesion and uniform coverage. Using premium primers helps seal the wood, improve stain blocking, and extend the life of the finish coat.
